Hafa Adai from Guam,

My name is Arleen and I work for the Pacific Daily News. We're looking for pictures or videos from islanders living away from home, celebrating liberation or any other holiday for that matter.

We currently have a website, http://www.GuamPDN.com/liberation, that is part of a yearlong project to document the stories of our war survivors. The project was launched this week with updates to the site on a monthly basis. If you know of anyone who has a story to tell or photos to share, please email me at liberation@guampdn.com.

Part of the project includes a Liberation Parade section and a Liberation shoutout section. So far, I only have local tags on the site. If you are interested in letting people know how you celebrate the island's biggest holiday or you would like to post a message to family and friends back home, please email me at liberation@guampdn.com.

And, if you have celebratory news (such as graduations, marriages, career promotions) that you would like to share in our islandstyle section, again, you may email me, and we may be able to publish your news in the daily newspaper.
